Strategic Planning: A Journey of Leadership and Future Foresight
From the earliest moments of the founding of the Libyan International University, our belief has been firm that leadership can only be achieved through sound planning. Therefore, since its establishment, the university has adopted a solid scientific methodology based on deeply understanding the present and accurately analyzing the internal and external environments, in order to chart our path toward the future with steady steps.
This commitment has been reflected in a rich journey of organized strategic work, beginning with the launch of the first strategic plan (2008–2013), which laid the foundation for the university’s identity. It was followed by the second plan (2016–2020), which aimed to strengthen academic excellence. At the beginning of the current decade, we continued our journey with a high level of flexibility through the third plan (2021–2023) to respond to global transformations, leading to our current ambitious phase (2024–2030), through which we seek to empower innovation and achieve comprehensive sustainability.
Participatory Approach and Decision-Making
The planning process at our university is not limited to setting objectives. Rather, we adopt a comprehensive participatory approach that ensures the involvement of all administrative and academic levels, as well as the engagement of stakeholders in decision-making.
As a culmination of this collective effort, and after a series of intensive sessions and workshops held during the final quarter of 2023, from October to December, the final version of the plan was unanimously approved. Accordingly, the University Council, in its meeting No. (240) for the year 2024, and under Resolution No. (17) for the year 2024, approved the University Strategic Plan 2024–2030 as the guiding framework for the next phase.
